How long is the certification valid? The Rigging and Overhead Crane certification is typically valid for three years from the date of completion, after which a refresher or full recertification is required.

Does this course include a practical evaluation? Yes, the course is a blend of classroom theory and hands-on practical training where you must demonstrate your ability to inspect rigging gear and perform a safe lift using the crane.

Can I use my own rigging gear for the course? Training is generally conducted using the facility’s certified equipment to ensure safety standards are met, but you are expected to bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) like steel-toed boots.

Is there a written exam? Yes, participants must pass a written theory exam (usually with a score of 70% or higher) in addition to the practical skills evaluation to receive their certification.
